Branch Out Valentine's Day Card

I saw the card linked at the bottom of this entry, and modified it just a bit for my Valentine's Day carrd this year. I used the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Pad to ink up the tree trunk and branches, then used a Stampin' Write Marker in Wild Wasabi to ink up the grass. The little hearts on the tree were made using Stampin' Write Markers in Regal Rose and Cherry Cobbler. You can easily make the hearts by simply "stamping" with the brush end of the marker! How? Your heart will be upside down . . . hold the marker at an angle with the point facing the top of your paper. Using light pressure (so as not to crush the brush tip) gently "roll" the brush tip from the point toward the base of the marker then lift the tip off the paper. The image you have will look like a flower petal. That is one half of your heart. Now just make another one overlapping the first one to make a heart. The edges of the main image were antiqued using Chocolate Chip ink on a sponge dauber. I also crimped the Chocolate Chip Dotted Scallop Ribbon to give it a little more dimension. I frequently use my computer printer to put words inside the card, and quoted Ephesians 3:17 & 18 from the New Living Translation, along with a greeting from our family. CARD STOCK: Confetti White, Chocolate Chip. STAMPS: Branch Out. INK: Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi, Regal Rose, Cherry Cobbler. OTHER: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Pinking Hearts Border Punch, Crimper. http://thinkingofinking.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/archives/1088
